Form reloading rather than redirecting to Paypal

    Hey All,

     

    I'm a little stumped and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.  I have two similar forms.  Both attempt to collect a payment from paypal (paypal as payment gateway, test=no, purchase, paypal.com).   The forms are very simple, just collecting some information and a few $$.    One of the forms correctly directs the user to paypal.  The other form simply reloads with no error message or indication.   Neither form has any question events or form completion events.   Any ideas where I can even look ?

    Is the other form that simply reloads has "page setting" to be viewable by all? Make sure it does. Please check on this. Thanks. -- David

    Yes, the permissions are set to allow users to view.  I also experience this problem when trying to fill out the form as a site admin.

    Hi Eric,

    Let me jump in here with a few areas to check.  1.  Are the 2 forms on the same page?  2.  Under Module Configuration, General Settings, is it in test mode?  3.  Do you have any fields that are required?  4.  Again n Module Config, General Settings, can you set a redirection page there and see if it will actually redirect after submit. 

    Let me know the answers here and we'll go from there.  Thanks!

    Nope. 

    2.  Under Module Configuration, General Settings, is it in test mode? 
    No

    3.  Do you have any fields that are required? 
    Some of the fields are required.  Validation is basic, no regEx's or anything, simply "required."  The behavior persists even if all fields are filled in.  It feels like there is a phantom field that I cannot see, but requires validation.  When i look through the field list, however, all fields are displaying.

     

    4.  Again n Module Config, General Settings, can you set a redirection page there and see if it will actually redirect after submit. 
    A redirect to amazon did not work.

    Well, #3 and #4 narrows it down. at least.  Are you able to give us temporary edit rights so I can dig in there and check settings?  If you can, please use the Contact Us form and give me the url and an admin login and password.    Thanks!

    Oh and speaking of phantom fields...please go to Manage Questions (the first icon in the quick menu) and verify that you have the same number of fields there as what you can see on the form.

    Just wanted to share that this issue was resolved on 3/17 with a patch to fix a validation bug. Thanks!
