Hi, I have a quick question about Sharepoint 2007 (hosted). We are creating a Grants Management Service in a hosted Sharepoint site by Apptix and we are trying to make it as automated as possible but are having a problem or two.
What we are trying to accomplish is a step by step grants application process, where the steps are broken up into tabs that the Grants manager and easily go in and access to assess where a grant is in its life cycle. What we want to happen is the user to go in research his/her grant in the first tab (Grant Research) and once a grant has been found that may meet the managers approval it is filed into a Pending Application Library. This is accomplished with a infopath form published to the Pending Library and uploaded to the same when the form is filled out. Once it has been approved the manager goes and sets the status to "Approved", and this is where we hit a wall.
We would like the XML to then be transferred to the next tab, application, but we are not sure how to go about this. Infact we need the rest of the process to be automated like this, after each step has been approved we would like it to automatically file to the next tabs library.
I have played with a workflow and that does not seem to do the job, but it could be because we only have one template to choose from on the hosted site for it. Any input on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
