using email as username

    Per your advice from a few weeks ago, I have turned off the auto create userID and password, opting instead to set the username field to email field in the DNN core area and hiding the username field from all users. When I attempt to register under this scenario, I get the following message: Your registration is not complete, please review the field validation and check and verify your username.

     

    Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

    HI, in Dynamic Registration control panel, if you go to the DNN core integration and map the required field of "Username" to "Email Address", then there's no need to have "Username" in the DR page at all. Try deleting the "Username" field as opposed to making it hidden and see if this works for you. I've tried this on a test case and it works fine. After looking at the Users table, I can see a new registration with the Username of the "Email Address" filled out and the Email is also the "Email Address" as well. -- David
