How to integrate DR with Core DNN Profile Properties

    It looks like when I create a new question in DR it does not create anything on the core DNN profile Properties. Is there some settings I need to configure to tie to core Profile properties?

    I am using Active Social and Active Forum. The modules pulls info straight from core DNN Properties so I need it to integrate with Core Profile for custom fields such as Profile Picture, Date Of Birth.

    How do I do this? Or is it not possible?

    HI Tareq, let's say you create a new field called BusinessType using DR and it's a textbox field, if you want DR to create a DNN profile property for it, you will need to go to "Advanced Field Options" and next to the DNN Core Field, click on "Quick Create Property" and it will automatically generate the field BusinessType in the DNN profile property. You can see it by looking at the ProfilePropertyDefinition SQL table.

    Or you can manually create core DNN property definition under Admin / User Accounts and then linking the DR fields to it. -- David

    Thanks that worked. Here is the next issue I need some guidance with. Here is what I want to do:

    Small initial registration signup with

    username/name/password/email. This is done. After they have vrified email I want them to complete their profile or be able to update their profile with optional info such as avatar/ city/state/country and so so...

    The custom filed I create I do not want them to show up on the initial main registration form.

    How do I achieve this?

    Well, I guess you can create an email link to send to them after they have registered that will take them to another DR page with the additional profile property custom field. Will this work for you? -- David

    Not very convenient but if that is the only will have to do. What I wanted more like linkedin how signup is easy and then you complete your profile and it tells you percent complete.

    I will keep thinking about these and will play around with the module a bit more. The module have many features maybe I will find some work around using the DF module.
