    We have a new site into which a user database is being imported (using Interactive Import).

    At site launch (which will be after import) we want to email most of the users thier login/password.

    Is thier a way we can do this with Opt-in and if not any other suggestions?

    Hi. There is not an easy way to do this with Opt In Email, although I think you would be able to use Interactive User Import to do this (especially the new 2.0 release). You should be able to just run the import once and then either...

    1. Run the import again and use the Interactive Email Events feature to fire only for registration updates. Have the event email the subscriber their username and password etc... The new 2.0 release also allows for the email event to be in full HTML.

    2. Simply go to 'Purge Users' within Interactive User Import. Remove all users, and re-add them firing off the Interactive Email Event upon initial load. The purge users feature is great for sites where you want to test the import process and then reload the import again right during go-live or the conversation date etc...
