    Hi,

    I would appreciate some email troubleshooting advice. For some reason the emails setup on my completion events are not being sent.

    I am running DNN 4.9.02 and DF 2.70.5

    Test emails are successfully sent from Host - SMTP settings.

    When I make a change to a user's roles, the email is sent to the user.

    I have three completion events setup.
    - An email to a static email address
    - An email to the address of the user who is logged in
    - Redirect

    The redirect works however the emails are not being sent. I have received the email to the static email address before but not currently, I am not aware of any changes.


    Is there a particular order the completion events need to be in?

    I am planning on uploading the page to betasprings, this will obviously help.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Has it worked before? If so, what changed? Can you make sure your email event is set for any dynamic response? Also, what do you have in the "From Email" field and the "To Email" field? If possible, export it to betasprings (username: host, password: dnnhost) and state the URL / TabID here. Thanks. -- David

    Also, I have been doing some playing tonight and the EmailDetailsNatlTitle Dynamic Email Completion Event is working consistently.

    So the issue is not with emails being sent.

    The issue is that the email to the logged on user is not being sent (EmailDetailsUser). I have tried different email addresses tonight without success. I have set up the hidden field and To Address as you had specified at http://www.datasprings.com/Products...fault.aspx


    There is obviously something wrong. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    HI, your sql is incorrect. I changed it to a textbox on betasprings just to debug and the SQL should be:
    select email as defaultvalue from users where userid = $(UserID)

    Perfect! - I was also able to use this technique for pulling user's first and last name.
