I have two fields that I’ve added to the DNN core profile properties: “event” and “tutorial”.  On my Registration page I’m using Dynamic Registration to register new users and update the existing user profile.  On this form I have a question that asks the user if they would like to attend this event.  This is radiobutton option.  The other question asks which tutorial they’d like to receive.  This is a radiobutton option.  For whatever reason I’m not able to tie these two questions with the DNN Core properties.  I see them in the DNN Core dropdown list selection under the Option Field category.  But my question fields do no appear in the Dynamic Field dropdown.  I need the values of these two questions added to the DNN Core database table.  If I cannot synch them together using Dynamic Registration DNN Core Integration, what would a SQL statement look like to insert these two values into the table fields that are already there?  Please help!

I'd be nice to get some help here.  Slow forum!

I tried the following in the SQL section of Registration Completion events:

    UPDATE dbo.Users
    SET Event = $(event), Tutorial = $(tutorial)
    WHERE ID = $(ID)

DIdn't work. I got the following error:

An error occurred when attempting to run this SQL query:

UPDATE dbo.Users SET Event = Yes, Tutorial = SystemVerilog for Verification WHERE UserID = 548

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ron,

In this example you probably need to add ' ' between parameters that are not integer (i.e. anything text or varchar). For example, try...
    UPDATE dbo.Users
    SET Event = '$(event)', Tutorial = '$(tutorial)'
    WHERE ID = $(ID)

A few other comments on this though. I don't think adding extended property fields actually adds columns directly to the user table. I would have to check on this but I think it actually puts all of the profile information fields in the an ASNET_MEMBERSHIP table. Because of this I don't think adding these fields directly to the table will work.

There is an issue in 2.4 with linking radio button fields to DNN Core Extended Fields. This issue will be fixed in 2.5.

I looked in the ASPNET_MEMBERSHIP table.  Not there.  This is quite the mystery where the profile properties are actually stored.  Any other ideas?

You are correct, too.  After looking further, my SQL statement would have not done the job, for the fields I'm looking for are not there.  Where are they?
