Hi Folks,

This is a reference to Shawn O'Connor’s Post of 11/25/2008.
I just downloaded a copy of Dynamic Login yesterday after
purchasing the product (Ver 3.1). I previously had the trial and
it had this problem. I thought the production version would fix
it but I still have the problem. Do I need to do something to
correct this? Should I have uninstalled the trial and installed
Ver 3.1 instead of just overlaying it?

HI, do you have specifc role direction rules set up? If so, is there any message under the Rich Text Editor "Source"? -- David

Yes, I do have specifc role direction rules set up. A member of a role gets directed to his own group of pages including his own "home" page. I do get this displayed when I log in as an administrator or host:

Administrator Note: The login template is only displayed for unauthenticated users to sign in.

Note that I don't seem to be able to enter the module editor from the page. The module inherits view permissions from the page which are Administrators and All Users.

The login template looks like this:

Yes, if you are logged in as Admin, then the DL template shouldn't show but if you click the little down arrow, you should have access to Control Panel, etc. I still don't quite understand this forum question. Are you saying that if a regular user logs in, they are not being redirected properly? How many roles do you have set up and what's the "Priority" on them? Each role redirection you have set up must have a different "Priority" number. -- David

I did get access to the control panel and a regular user does get redirected to the home page for his role but first he has to click a link that says "Continue..." on the login page. If possible I wanted to do away with the "Continue..." link step so the user would just go directly to his home page after logging in.

I had the same problem with the demo version and you folks gave me some suggestions about deleting some HTML by going to source. I tried that but could not get it to work (the HTML kept coming back) so I decided to wait to get the actual production version thinking it might work.

Hi, can you check under the Rich Text Editor of your DL module configuration entries and in each of the Rich Text Editor, click on "Source" and clear out any thing that's not supposed to be there? This is the only thing we know of that can cause the "Continue" to pop up. -- David
