I have tested the regular expression outside of Dynamic Registration 4 and it seems to meet the requirements however, it doesn't seem to work within Dynamic Registration.

If check "Ignore Built-In Username/PW Validation:" then passwords which are shorter than 8 characters work.

If I uncheck "Ignore Built-In Username/PW Validation:"

Then password validation seems to work however, those passwords that fail the web.config password checking result in no error messages being display.

Meaning, the page flips back to the top of the page, where the validation summary should be, but there isn't a validation summary, nothing is indicated as wrong, but clearly something is because I am not redirected to the home page like I should be on a successful validation.

If I type in a password that is valid, then I am redirected so I know that is working.

Here is a list of the passwords I am testing with. All should fail.

Scenario 1 - Entered "asdfghjk"
Scenario 3 - Entered "Asdfghj!"
Scenario 5 - Entered "asdfghj!"
Scenario 6 - Entered "asdfghj7"

no message:
Scenario 2 - Entered "Asdfghj1"
Scenario 4 - Entered "Asdfghj7"

Thanks,
Stuart

    Hello,

I probably have something misconfigured but I can't seem to get my password requirements working quite right.

I have set the password requirements at two levels.

The first being in the web.config where I specify a length of 8 and the necessity for a sprecial character.

The second being a regular expression which mimics the first requirement but adds the need to use a capital letter.

HI, I don't believe you can have it both ways. THe password/ confirm password validation either takes the web.config settings or the regex validation settings and can't be both. -- David

Well, I believe my regular expression should fail on all scenarios but it doesn't that is why we have been trying to to use the built in password control as well.

Therefore I think the regular expression application for the password isn't working quite right, or I have something a bit wrong, or DR is interpretting what I have differently or something else.

Also the fact that if I use the core password settings and no error message appears it would seem that would be a bug as well.
