    Hello, Chad.

    In the "Manage Dynamic Questions" -> "Question Validation" area, I find that the wordings in the following 2 options are rather confusing:

    * Required Field Text
       - help text: "Select the text that will appear by requires fields."

    * Required Field Error (i.e. *)
       - help text: "Select the text that will display to the right of the field as an error. Typically this would be an * symbol."

    The help text sounds like if one specifies an * in the "Required Field Error (i.e. *)" option, then the * would appear to the right of the required field. But this is not what actually happens. What actually happens is that the * would need to be specified in the "Required Field Text" option in order for that to happen. And the text that is specified in the "Required Field Error (i.e. *)" option becomes an error message indicating what is required and it appears on the top of the questions block.

    I found this out after spending much time scratching my head and experimenting. I am wondering whether things were crossed/mixed-up during the development.

    Jenn,

    Yes for sure. The text needs to be switched around for these its actually reversed. Required field Text should actually be labeled required field error and required field error should actually be labeled required field text. Thanks for bringing this up. We will have a fix for this with the next release.
