I need two dropdown lists on my reg page: one for Country, and one for State/Province.  I know how to add SQL code to the dropdown to pull up a list of states, etc...  However, how do I, say, ask for their Country...they select a country....then have the State/Province dropdown dynamically populate with the associated states/provinces?  This functionality works perfectly in the generic DNN form when updating user information.   Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ron,

Hi. Sorry for the late reply. We have a few forums posts very similar so ill try and dig these up but the end result is.

    1. Create a country field as you suggest
    2. Create a list of states dropdown field. Set the SQL to use the value of form field 1 (country). For example: Select Text as OptionText, Text as OptionValue from yourtable where Country = '$(ShortCountryFieldName)'
    3. Create a Question Event that fires off when the user selects the country, just make the question event show a hidden field that was previously hidden (even though you don't have to have it hidden, just as long as it fires the postback).

In v3.0 we will also be releasing a country/region DNN field as a field type so that you don't have to build the example I describe above.
