Sorry if this has been answered. I've seen posts about it but no solution for my issue.
When a non-administrator logs in they have to click a continue link. After doing so, they receive a message Access Denied, you do not have access to view this tab within the portal. They can, however, access any of the tabs without any problems.
All permissions are set appropriately; I upgraded to v5.02.02 just to be sure; I have the orininal DNN login module on the same page but only visible to administrators. I must have missed something?
Help appreciated. |

HI, several questions: 1) under dynamic login / control panel / module configuration (what is the default redirect link)? 2) do you have any Security Role Rules and if so, what roles and which page are you redirecting them to as well? Also, what is the "priority" for these rules? -- David |

Thanks for looking into this David. 1) The initial default settings have not been changed. Link type is URL, location is http:// 2) No security roles set up at all. |

HI, in your situation, since you don't have any redirection setup, if you go to your DNN Admin/Site Settings, what do you have set up under Advance Settings / Page Management? -- David |

HI, as a test in Dynamic Login control panel, can you set up an initial redirection instead of leaving it blank "http://"? Set it to go to a home page or something and see if this will work. -- David |

Is this a site we can have host access to? If so, can you use the "Contact Us" on the left menu and reference this forum / provide us with the URL and host login info? Thanks. -- David |

I'm running on localhost at the minute. I'll try to replacate the problem on a live version and give you access. |

I just installed the module and have the same problem with continue ....
If I remove all of my Security Role Rules it goes to the default page. If I add a rule I get the Continue .... message and have to click continue to get to the page.
Any resolution? Thanks. |

HI, the problem is 1) you don't have any default redirection so it will stay on the same page (Dynamic Login page) 2) this page is viewable only to "aunthenticated users" so when a person logs in, they are no longer "aunthenticated users" and therefore, cannot view this tab. 3) I've set this page to be viewable to "All Users" as well and also set a default redirection to "Home" page 4) I've also set the DNN Login Module to be viewable to Admin only and not inherit from the page settings. -- David |

I got the following message from Chad at Data Springs. This fixed the problem for me. I hadn't done anything with the fck editor, just left it blank. It did put a tag in. This is an issue with some fck editors. You need to go to the role rules, click basic textbox or 'source', and remove and and all text. Sometimes the editor adds empty tags. |

Thanks David - 5 star support. Just a couple of niggly things. The login page is always available to logged in users with this solution, although the login module itself is not. I'm still getting the Continue .... message between the login process and the home page. I tried your suggestion Tim, but still the same. |

HI Robbie, can you also go to Module Configuration / General Settings and see what you have listed under "First time login message"? Is it empty? -- David |

It's empty and "Enable first time login message" is unchecked. |

Is there a way to remove the Continue... link and just send the user to the redirect page that is set up in Dynamic Login?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Please go to Control Panel, Security Role Rules and check the Additional Message. Even if this is blank, please click on the Source (upper left corner of the editor) and delete any tags you find there and this should fix you up. Thanks!
