    Hi,

    DNN 5.1.4 + OptIn 4.20.30

I can't import any CSV file in my production server. It says nothing but doesn't import the records (after having uploaded the file) and issues a couple of error in log viewer:

If I try on www.betasprings.com I get a warning as if the CSV file was wrongly formatted: 0 record(s) imported successfully, however there were errors within your import file, please check the following row numbers within the import file: at record(s) 0, 1, 2, .....

The best part: I can import the same file, with no trouble, in my test server, which is a clone of the production one :-O

    Any help, please? Thanks,
    Francisco

I believe this happens if you are running on a 64 bit version. Currently the only import that can work on 64 bit operating systems is SQL Import AND List Import/Copy. The Microsoft.JetEngine DLL isn't on the server or can't work on 64 bit servers and this is the component we utilize for importing CSV files. I have been told from some customers that they could set their app pool to 32 bit and it will work then however I have not directly tested this myself. We are in the process of reviewing 3rd party Excel components that we might be using for future versions that support both 32 bit and 64 bit operating systems because they don't rely on that Microsoft.JetEngine component.

    Thanks,

    -Chad

Oh... and another option is to import the file directly into SQL Server and then run a SQL import instead of a CSV import. We have done this on a few implementations in the past before.

OK, thanks for the assistance. Finally, it seems as the issue was caused for some lack of permissions. Our hosting provider was able to fix it.

    Hi Chad,

Is this issue already solved? We're a bit tired of using the SQL Query.

    Thanks,
    Francisco
