     Dynamic log in is giving error when attempting to load control panel.

    Method: DataSprings.DNN.Modules.DynamicLogin.ManageLoginTemplate.loadSettings

    Message:DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DataSprings.DNN.Modules.DynamicLogin.ManageLoginTemplate.loadSettings() at DataSprings.DNN.Modules.DynamicLogin.ManageLoginTemplate.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnLoad(EventArgs e)

     

    Any Ideas???

    HI, is this an upgrade of DNN to 5.2.2 or a new install of DNN 5.2.2? Also, what version of Dynamic Login are you running? If you look under Admin / Event Viewer, do you see more detailed error message? -- David

     Have done some additional testing.

    I have setup new installs of 5.2.2 DNN and works in test install but not the original - it is also a new DNN install but have moved content over so not to keen to start totally from scratch .

    This is the total message:

    Seems that the default template may not have installed correctly.

     

    BUT that is just a guess.

     

    If I have to I can restart but

     

    Is latest Dynamic Log On 3.0.30 ( think that is latest)

    Hi, at this point, my suggestion would simply reinstall Dynamic Login and see if you can access the Control Panel afterwards. -- David

     Have uninstalled with file delete and reinstalled a few times.

    Is there a file or database entry that I can check to see if it is missing relating to default template????

    But will try re-install again as I agree I would have thought that would fix it......

    I have had a look at files - Tables and stored procs and they appear to all be there and teh same file size... I have not compared the actual stored procs but they do all seem to be there.

    Maybe I have to start again - O and I have also upgraded to DNN 5.2.3 - no change

    Kevin,

    Have you checked the file permissions and so forth for the DNN Site? Can you upload files successfully under admin/file manager? I am thinking that this sounds like a file permissions issue. If that still doesn't work I would submit a support case and provide us with temporary host rights so we can dig in further.

    Have checked that and folder and files are full for Machine User - other dynamic module work ok..

    Hi Chad,
    Im having the same issue. Been through all your suggestions and no result. Did you find a resolution to this problem ?

    I upgraded from 4.9.1 to 5.2.3.

    seems our test area has an older version, but same problem..
    pushing the little arrow and than clicking the control panel gives this error:

    Er is een kritieke fout opgetreden.
    Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    not sure what to do with this..
