    Hi Guys,

Having problems using the option " Automatically hide module if authenticated is already subscribed" under simple opt in.

What I want, is when a user subscribes to the list, the option to subscribe is removed.. that's working fine. The problem I am getting is, if the user then un-subscribes from the list, the simple opt in module does not re-appear!

Any help appreciated. Sorry about all the questions

OK, a bit more on this. I now have two lists. One is a re-homing update list. The second list is a general list.

Users are automatically added to the general list when they subscribe. They are NOT automatically added to the re-homing list.

After a user registers, if they go to a page with a Simple Opt In module, associated with the re-homing list.. it's not shown. I guess because they are subscribed to the Announcement list.

So, it appears that the Simple Opt In module will hide itself no matter what list the user subscribes to. Also, if they unsubscribe from all lists, it still stays hidden.

Is there a way to get the Simple Opt In module to only hide itself if the user is subscribed to the list associated with the Simple Opt In module?

The alternative is that I don't hide it from subscribed users, but then it's taking up valuable space and pestering users all the time. It also looks like they are not subscribed, when they are!

    any help appreciated.

    Hi Marc,

Yes I am not really sure about a solution here because the module doesn't currently check the specific list(s) for simple opt in to show/hide based on that specific list. We might also need to know specifics such as what happens if they went to the page and was opted into some of the lists on the simple opt in list page but not all? Would you want it to appear then? Basically the module is just going to check if the subscriber is already in the system and if so hides the module.

Another route to go would be to use Dynamic Forms for this part with the Dynamic Forms / Opt In Email integration option. You can find more details on this here:

Basically... When I would do is add the user to a security role using the completion events and then show/don't show that module based on if the user has the role. You can go to module settings and set that role to have an 'X' meaning that if they have the role the module won't be displayed.

    -Chad
