    Hello,

On one of my forms, when the label and field are in the same row, the field aligns to the far right. The field will not align to the left, next to the label\question. I actually have to check "Display label and field in the same column", otherwise the page layout is messed-up.

Any help will be appreciated. I really do not want to recreate the form.

    Thank you in advance,

    Todd

Hi. I wanted to follow up on this post, this was also a support ticket opened this morning. From our initial review we have determined that it was caused by using the HR field type. We are still trying to determine exactly what is happening and we will have a fix for this in the future. If anyone is running into this problem now you can simply use the HTML field type and insert a Horizontal Ruler from the rich text editor into the form this way. This actually provides much more flexibility anyway. Todd, can you let us know after you have tried this and if you are still having any issues? I imported your form and after removing the HR fields and adding in HTML fields everything seems to be working great.

Great fix; thanks, Chad! I inserted a few HRs (though the thickness would not adjust for me whatsoever) and the spacing was thrown off to the right.

After removing the HRs, though, I still have a sizable column space between the labels and the fields.  I checked every setting imaginable...more times than i would like to admit...but can't pull then question fields in to the left.

I reduced the label column to the point where the text wrapped, then increased the size until the text no longer wrapped (and won't admit how many times that took me, either). So I know the label columns aren't causing the problem...just can't get the fields any closer to the left.

It's not a show-stopper, but just wondering if there is a setting I am overlooking.

I am having a problem here too.  It seems there is an extra column between the the label column and the values column.  It seems like the "extra column" has a size of 100 to 150 and adds that amount between the end of the labels column and the beginning of the values column.  This makes it impossible to layout a form properly on a page.

    John,

    Try this:

First, are there any fields above or below the first column in the row in question that have width that is greater? If so, that is the problem. Basically when you say "add to previous row" for a field, it will create a new column (in the table) and the result is this:

    Long Field Above or Below
    FieldField Added to above row

    ----------------------------------------------------
    - TD Field width 200 -
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - TD Field width 100 (200) - TD Field width 100 -
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, if you don't set the width of the form, it will stretch to 100% and cause the fields added to the previous row to spread out to 100%

    Jon
