    I want to create an admin utility with DF that assignes roles for a user.  I will pass the userid to the form using a querystring variable in the URL..

    How do I ensure that the form completion event to add a role does not add for the logged in user (Admin) but for theuserid passed to the form.

     

    Is this setup in the initial query?

     

    What settings are important , if I can indeed do this?

    HI, so you want to manage user roles using dynamic forms and traversing to this DF page passing a userid in the querystring? You will need to create an SQL completion event to add that user to the corresponding role then. But simply state:

    1) you can create a hidden field called UserManage or some other shortname field and make sure to set it to retrieve from querystring variable
    2) create an SQL form completion event (perhaps calling a stored procedure and passing the UserManage token) to add that user to whatever role it is you want
    3) you could also pass along the roleid as well along the querystring if you like

    Hope this points you in the right direction. I believe there's forum posting of adding user roles a while back. You could search for that topic to get the SQL you need or create your own. -- David

    Let me also add that Dynamic Registration has a Manage User function already built in so you might consider that module instead of Dynamic Forms.  Thanks!
