I have a form with combo box control using SQL driven Question Option. The SQL stament basically populates combo box with all registered DNN users and also retrieves all corresponding emails  (select displayname as QuestionOption, email as QuestionOptionValue xxxxxx).

What is the recommended way to pass the QuestionOptionValue (email address) to another control (for example a label or read-only text box) as well as to an email event generated upon submitting the form?

    Thanks!

    Jake

HI, you can use client side javascript for this purpose. However, a read-only field cannot be used in an email event. But why do you need to set what's chosen in the drop down box to another field when you can use that value chosen from the drop down directly in an email event to begin with.

If you do want to do this, it's best to create a hidden field. Then in your drop down field, under Advance Field Options / Client Side Event, type in:

    $(hiddenfieldshortname) = $(comboboxshortname)

note that you need to replace the above javascript with your shortname fields. -- David To
