This happens a least since 5.3 AFAIK...

The link "REGITER" in Dynamic Login redirects to this:

    1.
    javascript:__doPostBack('UserRegistration','')

But dnn skin object redirects to:

    1.
    javascript:__doPostBack('dnn$dnnUSER$cmdRegister','')

The first link to the user profile instead of the register tab, this is wrong.

    Hi Miguel,

Let me ask you a few questions and offer some thoughts.

    1.  What DNN version are you on?
    2.  What Dynamic Login version do you have (from Host, Module Definitions)?

If you have DNN 5.x, you will need to have the Standard DNN Login module on your Dynamic Login page.  Then set the Standard DNN Login module to visible to Admins only.  Once you do that, the redirection should work.

You also need to make sure that you set your user/register page corrrectly in Admin, Site Settings, Page Management.

Let me know what happens.  Thanks!

    1. I tested it in several 5.x (5.3 5.4.2 and 5.5 alpha)

    2. 3.30.2

I see... I knew I add to have both Standard and dynamic login on the "login.apx" page... or DNN would show an error!

But form what you say I now see that I must have it in all pages I have Dynamic Login... I have it in every page actually... or at least the ones shown to the "unauthenticated users".

Still what you say does not work, in the site I'm testing now, wish is using 5.5alpha (I was forced to do the upgrade because of some ajax and mail problems in 5.4.4, that would cause DR to fail)!

So I'll forget about the tests on other version... lets say the scenario is 5.5 alpha and I have 1 DR form on "Register Page", and another on "User Page".

So in Admin -> Ste settings I have TWO settings not one...

    "Registration page: register"
    "User Page: userProfile"

I believe Dynamic Login token redirects to "UserProfile" page because before 5.3 we only had one setting here -> "user/register page" like you said...

I believe this is the reason it fails since 5.3 and not because you need to have both login modules!

Do you have any DNN 5.3 or 5.4 "beta test site" where this could be tested?

Candace this can be edited in the template... I mean I can use a link instead of the token...

But I still wanted to report this so you guys feel that token must be changed for 5.3 +++ instalations!

Thanks, Mike!  I am sending this over to Chad for more review.  There are so many changes that happen between DNN versions that it's sometimes hard to catch up.

They sould have a better way to deal with upgrades and the wya they may afect tird party modules!

Even if the releases come less often.... the lastest one just sucked :S

5.5 seems very very cool, the localization is much better and they are taking it slower, beta testing etc.... that's the way they must keep doing it

Well, it happens to me on a DNN 5.4.2 install, but only for the languages (2 of 3 installed) other than the default, and always have the link javascript:__doPostBack('UserRegistration','').
I have also the standard DNN account login module on the page with admin rights, but keeps trying to redirect to UserProfile page.
Dynamic login version is 3.30.2 .

Well my particular problem turned to be just a matter of configuration.
Site Settings are language dependent, so i have selected each language on the language dropdown at the top Site Settings, and changed the Registration Page for every language. That worked.
Also, take a look at the progress image at the bottom of Site Settings page, every time you change the language on the selector dropdown, because it can take some time, and maybe won't be clear that the page is not completely loaded.
