First off... what a great module. I set up a great registration page (a few actually) and the whole thing just works. In my noobness, I neglected to auto create one of my custom questions to the core proflie at time of creation. I've since remedied that, but this is after about 200 registrations. So in the profile page, the field in question is blank.
I need to export all of these new users to a spreadsheet, which I can do, however the field is still blank (which it logically would be). Is there a way, SQL Query I'm assuming, to grab that data from the *.QuestionResponse table and insert it into the appropriate core profile field? The export I'm doing is purely for me, I've tried to do it through Crystal reports but it requires laboriuos aligning of the responses (it appears the QuestionResponses are all held in that table by UserID so there's no logical way to report out a spreadsheet in a format that Excel will display normally) or I have to export certain responses (questionID) then cut them into a working export, which again is no fun. Likewise I could link by userID but DR and Core are using different ID's. Anyway I cut it, I'm missing a link between the core and DR. Totally my fault.
Ideally I'd like to just populate that new core field with the 'orphaned' response, but barring that I just need a full export.

Thanks again for such a great product.

    hi Junkbox,

Sorry about the delay and thanks for such a nice feedback and comments about the DR. I will need to do some research on this and will get back to you ASAP.

First – You might review this forum thread and see if one of them helps him:
    http://www.datasprings.com/Products...fault.aspx

    Another option?

    Time consuming but possible…
    1. Remove the core profile mapping feature (for now)
    2. Go to each username under manage users where the data isn’t displayed (if you have a list of UserID’s you can just change out the querystring value)
    3. Create a SQL Completion Event to insert or update the users profile property with the $(Value) for that user.
    4. Once you are finished go back and map the users data

A stored procedure/SQL could look like this:

    Declare @MyCount int
Set @MyCount = (Select Count(*) from UserPRofile Where UserID = $(UserID) AND PropertyDefinitionID = 158)

    if @MyCount = 0
    BEGIN
Insert Into UserProfile(UserID, PropertyDefinitionID, PropertyValue, Visibility, LastUpdatedDate)
    Values ($(UserID), 158, '$(YourField)', 2, GetDate())
    END

    if @MyCount > 0
    BEGIN
    Update UserProfile
    Set PropertyValue = '$(YourField)'
    Where UserID = $(UserID)
    AND PropertyDefinitionID = 158
    END

This example would assume your profile property was field ID 158 and would still require you to go to each individual user and click submit so that the SQL would run.

If you had more like 2000 entries I would find a more appropriate SQL Query but it would take some more time. We can write these queries for you but this is covered under our Premium Support options, you can find out more or pick up hours at http://www.datasprings.com/Premium-Support.

    Thanks,

    Chad

I did this with a bunch of fields. Is there a better solution? The link provided here doesn't seem to work anymore.
