    Hi,

I'm using version Dynamic Reg 4.0.60.0 with DNN 5.2.1 and I' m having problems when updating a users registration details.

My registrtion form works fine on initial registration and when a registered user goes to update their registration detail all the details appear as they were entered, however, when you edit the details and update, values that should be stored against radio button list fields and dropdownlist fields do not get saved.

In fact, looking at the data in the corrosponding DynamicRegistration_QuestionResponse.Response field the data has actually been deleted so when the registraion form is reloaded the form fields have no selected values. All the textbox field values get updated/saved as expected.

Could this be a bug? Its possible that i'm missing some setting somewhere to make this work but I would have thought it would be a straight forward update.

Anyone got any ideas what the problem might be?

    Hi Joe,

Can you try a couple of tests, please?

If you switch your radio button to a combobox (dropdown), does it save the values?

If you create a new radio button field, does it behave differently from the other one?

    Thanks!

I have a similar issue, but with a drop-down. In the initial registration they select a state which works fine and does populate the state field correctly in the profile. However, when you use the Update form (basically a copy of the initial reg form), the state that appears in the drop-down is the first one in the list (in my case Alaska) instead of the state the person selected when they registered. if you save/update it will change the state in the profile to what is in view in the drop-down. I have the same issue with another state field in the same form. So, how can we get the drop-down to display what was originally submitted?

Oh, we're using the latest release of DR in DNN 5.5.1

    Hi,

i've only recently got back to looking at this issue and I believe I've discovered the cause of this behaviour.

It seems as though if you have the module set to 'hide password fields for registration updates' the problem occurs.

I've repeatedly tested two seperate implementations of the module and every time I uncheck that option the updates are recorded as you would expect and the updates fail when I have the option selected.

This looks like a bug to me which is odd as you wouldn't necessarily think that the two things would be related in some way.

    Cheers,

    Joe

    Hi Joe and Tim,

Can you please access DR 4.00.71 from Patches and Hotfixes (or in MyDownloads if you have the Collection 4.0) and verify that the problem persists even with this latest patch?  (Best way to verify your version is from Host, Module Definitions (Extensions).

I'll wait for your response and test this myself on Monday.  Thanks!
