    Chad after re reading another post I decided to repost this to help separate the issues.

    I am having the same reporting issues Worth Robbins is having http://www.datasprings.com/Products...fault.aspx
    I am using DNN 4.9.4

    View report alone was working fine before I did this, reporting from the control panel never worked after updating to 4.3.6.

    all I did changed the host smtp setting to use a different server. it did not work as expected so I changed the setting back to the original settings.


    the report shows the system attempted to send 6 email and failed, nevertheless I received 5 of the emails opened them and check the report again 6 out 6 failed, 5 read, 5 read distinct, 1 unread.

    I guess I am not going crazy.

    In addition Chad you mentioned there is an upcoming patch, the latest patch on snowcovered is 4.3.6 dated 9/7/2010.

    when is the new patch going to be available is it going to fix the reporting issues? is anyone have issue with reporting?  Is there any way we could go back to 4.3.2 before I start a new DNN instance. I had to re-run the client's job 38,000 email because the reporting was timing out and still is. it was running fine with 4.3.2

    If the patch is out I may have to renew my subscription.

    Hi Franc - I think there are are a few issues here so lets cover them individually...

    1. As far as failed emails - Since failed emails are not newsletter specific (examples of bounceback emails are not newsletter specific because when checking the email the system doesn't know what newsletter sent the message) so therefore if you do not clear out your failed email before a distribution and those emails are still listed there it will appear in the failed email report.

    2. As far as the reports - the latest patch that hasn't been posted yet (we are trying to get as many items in before posting) does fix several issues but I don't think that one of those is the reports as far as I know...


    If you open a support ticket with us we can get you the latest patch regardless and then maybe also have a go to meeting with you to handle any issues directly? This might be helpful as we can cover more ground and you can provide more feedback on your specific implementation and issues.

    Chad, I did as you suggested we did not have any failed distribution, but upon clearing all bounced emails it also cleared the failed distribution.

    One problem continue to exist:

    Cannot run reports from the control panel. Especially reports with over 3000 newsletters. It just simply timesout you'll be able to see an example here

    This was working fine in version 4.3.2 In fact View Reports was also much faster.

    I tried did post a support ticket on Snowcovered but it sent me back here again.
