    We just upgraded the dynamic forms module from 3.1 to 3.4 to see if this issue was fixed: http://www.datasprings.com/Default....0874#10874

    Now, when we go to the page the form is on we get this error:

    A critical error has occurred.
    Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

    So, I have two questions. 
    1. How do we fix the critical error.
    2. has the issue with the rich text editor been fixed?

    We are running DNN 5.5.1 and Dynamic Forms 3.40.10

    Hi Mike - Sorry for the delay, we were at DotNetNuke Connections 2010 all last week.

    Lets first take a look at the critical error, I am assuming that the Rich Text Editor issue has been fixed/enhanced to support the latest editor updates.

    I believe when I have seen the error before it was only on large forms and only when the 'Quick Edit' feature was enabled. Can you let me know if you see this on new form instances or only on the exisitng form instance? We might need to get into the control panel and disable the 'Quick Edits' feature.

    There is a query you can run there to disable quick edits which becomes a problem on large forms.

    Chad,

    I found that query this morning and was able to fix that issue.

    However, I'm still experiencing the issue with the text editor. (running latest version of DNN with latest FCK editor that comes with DNN. It is not feasible for us to switch over to telerik at this time). I think we were able to get it to save the content of the dynamic email by changing to basic text then choosing HTML output, pasting in the html for email, updating, then changing the text editor back to Rich Text Editor elsewhere on the site (any generic text/html module will do).

    The problem is we have to go through this every time something needs to be changed, even if it's just the From or To addresses or subject line.

    Hi. Yes, well we can't directly control what the FCK Editor does as far as these extra tags. We try and code to ignore them on the user-facing page however is different between editors and its not an area of code we can directly control.

    I guess i'm confused as to why it only happens in your module. I could paste html in the Source tab of the editor and as soon as I click the source tab again the formatting is messed up, I don't even have to update the event or the module settings. It does not do this in any other module that utilizes the rich text editor.

    Hi...In that case I am not really sure, as I said we don't really control the editor directly but maybe it has something to do with some of the other controls we have on the page or maybe some AJAX settings. I do know that even in the standard editor within the HTML module it will sometimes include extra P tags, space tags #160 tags etc... We have had this problem with a few areas of our site for some time and not always in our modules.

    Hello.

    Can you please be more specific as to when this issue occurs? When are you performing searching in Dynamic Forms? Are you using the View Form Results section?

    Please let us know the DNN and Dynamic Forms version you're operating on as well.
