Hello Isaks,
Yes Autosearch is a querystring parameter you can pass to Dynamic Views. If you have a Dynamic Form question field with the short field name "FirstName" and then on your Dynamic View you have a search field named "FirstName" then you can execute the autosearch like this in the Dynamic Views:
http://www.yourSite.com/yourDynamic...earch=True
Then your results will be pulled back that contain Ryan as the first name.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Thanks,
Ryan
I have an implementation of the scenario you suggested for Isak:
One of my dynamic form question fields is populated with data from a sql query. Among the values i return for it is a sql "null", which would corespond to "ALL" text option.
I have set this value to null in the ideea that when i'm passing this question value to query string i will get the asp.net behaviour of excluding null values from query sting. looks though that my null value has been interpreted as empty string as my query string now looks like this when i select "ALL" option:
http://mysite/default.aspx?tabId=63...earch=true where "year" is my field's shortname.
Is there any way of chosing not to pass the question field value to query string if empty ?
The reason i'm doing this, is because i want my Dynamic View module to collect the year value and do an autosearch for year = value, or display all fields if year is not passed at all.
Could my problem have a simpler solution like passing a character to year querystring variable in order to accomplish a search "all" in dynamic view report.
ex: year equals % or something like this (i tried sending year=% in query string - doesn't do a search all)
http://mysite/default.aspx?tabId=63...earch=true
