    Dynamic Forms Ver:3.40.1.0 / 5.5.1

I'm using a date field which is driving me nuts!!

My Portals are set with UK lang and UK lang default and the date field displays correctly on screen before and after select. However the actual value of the field (token) is US format so that the value it expects from the DB is US format or when I use the value in a dynamic email the value is displayed in the email as US format.

I've tried everything but I need the value, that is in the email, in UK format dd/mm/yyyy.

Why doesn't the token refelect what is shown on screen?

    Please help

Hi Adam - I believe we fixed some issues recently with the date format/field when its displayed on the screen (as that used to be a bug) however we didn't realize this was still a problem for things such as email events and so forth. The date format for some areas is supposed to be in a standard format (like SQL Events, saved to the database in a standard format etc...). We will need to log this for review and a possible fix if its appearing correct on the page but not in the email event...

In the mean time and as a work around you might want to consider using a standard textbox and a jQuery datepicker field which would then save the data as text and work correctly on the screen. If you want to go this route I would check out demo 28 at http://www.datasprings.com/formdemos. I actually prefer the look and feel to this method better then the built in DNN Date Picker myself.

    Thanks,

    -Chad

Just wondering if this UK - US Date issue had been fixed as we are experiencing the same problem.

The link to the demo mentioned is broken. Has the demo been moved to a different page?

    Many thanks,
    Michael

    Hello Michael,

I just reviewed Demonstration 28 and all seems fine:

As for getting a UK date into an email completion event, are you using a text box or combo box to get the values from a users on your form? How is this value being inserted? Is it a selection or an input of text?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

We use the Date selector which brings up the DNN date picker.
