I'm using the action functionality to allow users to delete a row in the view.   My view has a search field and I actually prefill this field by passing a query string parameter from the previous form and the second parameter is the one that forces the autosearch.
I really wanted to use the paramater as a token in the sql query for the view but that questions is in anther thread.

My problem is with the action.  The action functions as designed and deletes the row in my table.  However it resets the search to blank and now I have incorrect data in my view.   I need a way to post back to the same page and keep the search value or better yet keep the querystring parameter.

This is a problem that I have in general in the view.  I use the view to list records and go to a dynamic form.  Here again when they return the search is reset and the user has to enter the criteria again and search.

I would appreciate any advise on this.  They must be something I'm missing.  Thanks
    Deb

    Hi Deb,

I see what you mean... Unfortunatly right now the action link is its own link and I think the only option would be to make it a pop up maybe but that also isn't going to exactly get you the results you want because you will have an open window.

Right now the Actions feature doesn't support AJAX calls yet so until we add some enhancements its going to "Reset" the page. We will add this as an enhancement request and something to test against for the future. We do have the 2.1 release going out next week but I don't think there were enhancements added yet to support this feature.

    Thanks,

    Chad
