    Further details below:

    DNN Version: 05.06.02 (144)

Opt In - Opt In Email 4.30.10
Opt In - Previous Newsletters 4.30.0

I have tried cleaning up the _AdvancedControlPanel.ascx file but this has not fixed the problem.

    Regards,

    Hello,

I ended up fixing it by looking into some of the other .ascx files. The error is dues to bad HTML formating (missing closing ").

    Regards,

    Mark.

Hi, I'm having the same problem.
Could you tell me what I should modify exactly?

    Hi Marnix,

This was fixed in the most recent patch of Opt In Email, I believe this was the .43 patch which is needed to fix the problem that came about with the .NET 4.0 Framework.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Marnix and Matthieu,

If you purchased Opt In Email as an individual module, please log into your DNN Store account and you'll find it under Patch Management. If you have the Collection 5.0, you'll find your updated files under MyDownloads. Thanks!

We can send you our license number.

    Hi Vikas,

The solution came with a patch. If you bought Opt In Email 4.3 by itself, please log into your DNN Store account and go to Patches where you can download v4.3.71. Please be sure you install the right 32- or 64-bit file as your server requires.

I would also recommend that you upgrade to Opt In Email 4.4. which was just released on 6/7.

However, if you have the Collection 5.0, you get new versions for free until the next collection is released. Please log into your DNN Store account and get them from MyDownloads (click the Download button for the Collection 5.0).

    Thanks!

    Candace -
I also experienced the Control Panel issue.  We are running DNN v 6.1.3 Professional Edition on PowerDNN.  PowerDNN advised to install the 64 bit PA.
So I installed DataSprings_OptInEmail43_71_DNN49PLUS_PAINSTALL_64BITONLY and after installation the site immediately threw the error listed on the attached file.  And am now unable to access the site through a browser.  Please advise.
    Thank you.
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Let me see if I can offer some assistance...

1st... Please keep in mind that there has been a newer release (4.4 release) so you might want to make sure you are on that release (at least this thread is related to a problem from 4.3 and the 4.0 .NET framework).

Next... Your specific issue is related to the file called chilcat.dll (or something very similar to that) which was placed in your DotNetNuke\Bin directory. So you will need to delete this file which is related to the bounce back features in the module. There is a specific version of this file for a 32 bit vs a 64 bit version of your site and if the wrong version is installed it will blow up which is what it is doing here. Even if your server is 64 bit, it's possible your IIS application pool is set to allow 32 bit which is likely the problem here.

    Thanks,

    Chad
    Thanks,

    Chad
