I have a form that has an amount field and a "number of tickets" field.

Amount should be $56 multiplied by the number of tickets. It displays correctly, and changes according to the "number of tickets" field.

But when it gets passed to the credit card processor, it only passes $56, no matter what the number of tickets is set to.

"Amount" is set to read-only, default value of 56, with a client side event of "$(Amount)=$(Number) * 56"

Like I said, the amount changes on the screen correctly when you change the "Number of tickets" field, but always passes $56 to the credit card company. The Number of Tickets (which gets passed on as an extra field) gets passed correctly.

    I'm using 3.40.41

    Please help!

    Hi JR,

Read only fields (when changed) will not be kept after a postback/viewstate for the form. This is a security issue related to read only fields and HTML (if its really read only, then it’s a security risk if JavaScript can really change it). So therefore you should do two things.
    a. Keep your read only field, but just for information purposes. Or, simply remove the read only field and showcase the total to users via HTML (as described in demo 20 at http://www.datasprings.com/formdemos)
    b. Run the same calculation but for a ‘hidden field’. This should be a field that is setup as ‘hidden’ for the question type, and not actually a textbox that is ‘until until forced visible’ etc…
    Thanks
