I have just purchased Dynamic Registration 4.10.43 Enterprise Edition

Have successfully installed it on one instance ( DNN 05.04.01)  and now need to install to another instance (DNN 5.5.1)

The module seems to install without any errors, but after placing it on a page, it immediately throws back

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

The event log error is:

We notice that there are often needs for customers to update their version of dnn to the latest version which is dnn 5.6.2 when working with current versions of DataSprings modules. It is our recommendation for them to upgrade to the latest version of dnn when dealing with these kinds of problems. You may want to uninstall the dynamic registration module and then upgrade dnn to 5.6.2 and make sure that there are no issues with 3rd party modules in your current application. Then as a last step go ahead and install the Dynamic Registration module. You should be ok.

I'm afraid your suggestion hasn't fixed the problem. I uninstalled the dynamic registration module, upgraded to DNN 05.06.03 and re installed your module.

No issues with any 3rd party modules - in fact it's the very same setup that I have running on the DNN 05.04.01 installation where everything's working fine.

The page that I've installed the dynamic registration module again shows the following error...

Both errors look pretty much the same to me.

Could this be a licensing issue?

The site is shortly to go live so this is pretty urgent.

After some digging, I found that the site's web config had two entries under /dependentAssembly/ which were commented out...

Thanks for posting this. When upgrading a DNN 4.9.5 site to 5.6.6, we encountered the same problem with Dynamic Forms 3.4.5. We solved the problem by reverting back to Assembly 3.5.0.0 in two different dependentAssembly sections:

1) assemblyIdentity name="System.Web.Extensions"
2) assemblyIdentity name="System.Web.Extensions.Design"

This line was commented out, being "Upgraded by .NET 4.0 Upgrade version 5.4.4" --

bindingRedirect oldVersion="1.0.0.0-1.1.0.0" newVersion="3.5.0.0" xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"

This was the new line that we commented out --

bindingRedirect oldVersion="1.0.0.0-1.1.0.0" newVersion="4.0.0.0"

After this, Dynamic Forms began working again.

The original error message was: "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
