Hello,
DNN Platform: 06.01.02
Dynamic Forms Version: 4.0.12
Since upgrading to the newest version of Dynamic Forms we have encountered several errors on our website. One primarily being the result of the significant increase in processing time for any action that calls to the db (up to 40 seconds). To compensate for the slower forms, we have turned the
Forms Processing / Submission Ajax:
field to
Form Processing and Form Submission
. This prevents users from hitting enter twice (causing a view state error), or missing the hidden questions from a question event that is happening while they fill out the form.
The problem arises now if we have this set as mentioned above, theDisplay after Save
message
does not appear. What occurs is the processing screen appears. Then it goes away. Then the spinning wheel appears, and stops. And the form remains the same (filled in) no indication that the user has successfully submitted (the email completion event is triggered). This result happens whether the form is complex or three fields with one email completion event.
On one particular form we have a combo box that triggers a question event to show a series of hidden questions. When submitted (set to the ajax settings mentioned above) the form does as described in previous paragraph. However, if you go up and select a different option from the combo box, then the display after save message appears....sigh.
But the rub is that if I turn the
Forms Processing / Submission Ajax:
field to
disabled
. Then the display after save message appears.
I do not have redirect completion events on any of these forms.
In previous versions of Dynamic Forms this was not the behavior. Any ideas or advice on how I can get the display after save message and the Form Processing and Form Submission option to work together?
PS. Sorry if this comes through as a forth post. The previous three posts wiped out my message... so had to do it again.
