Linking to a document in an email - wrong URL

    Version - 4.3.71 - Opt In Email

    When you send out an email and have words that are linked to a document the URL to the document is wrong. It adds the web site address on to the URL twice. The only work around I have found is to manually go into the HTML, remove the one web site address and make it a relative link. Then when the email is sent it adds the web site address and it is fine. Obviously standard end users cant do this so their links dont ever work.

    The web site is added twice in there. Is there a setting I am missing to prevent this from happening?

    Hi. There are a few settings that can impact these... For example, there is a setting that is "Do not replace full portal alias for URL". Can you tell me is this setting is enabled? There are some issues depending on your DNN version, portals home directory, etc... The module checks for things such as /portals/0/something and it will sometimes automatically add in the full portal alias (which could already be there). This is because the module is used to most URL's being saved in "Relative" format where the Rich Text Editor does not have the full path to the file by default, so therefore Opt In Email will automatically create the URL for you and add in the main domain name. The other item to check is the "Headers" setting as this adds a BASE HREF I believe.

    Hi Chad - Where is the option to uncheck - "Do not replace full portal alias for URL""Do not replace full portal alias for URL"? I dont see this anywhere. I am not using headers in your module. Its DNN v563
