I need to validate that the date on a form is in the future.... or validate that it is not in the past.

Is there a regular express that does that?

Also, is it possible to validate that a date is not a Saturday or Sunday?

    Thanks

    Hello SK,

You're best bet to accomplish a validation like this is to use a jQuery datepicker. Don't allow the user to type into the textfield, force them to select from the datepicker. From the datepicker, you can alter the jQuery file to disable / not include weekends. This way you're forcing the user to select a business day/weekday.

There's no need to try to find a Regular Expression that will validate this, chances are you won't find such an expression. You could use straight JavaScript too to determine whether the date selected from the textfield was a weekday or weekend and conditionally proceed from there.

Here's a great forum post that may assist you:

If you need assistance configuring this functionality, you can utilize Data Springs newly formed "Premium Integration Services".

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Does the javascript go into as a client side event of the question or into the "Submit Save Javascript" section of the Custom Javascript form in General Settings / General Form Validation?

    Thanks.

The JavaScript would be inserted into the Client Side section of the Questions. So you can freely create JavaScript functions in the Custom JavaScript file, and they will become accessible throughout the entire form from the Client Side, Submit/Save JavaScript and Initial JavaScript sections.

Just remember that anytime you update your JavaScript within Dynamic Forms, that you Refresh the page completely using CTRL -> F5. This will ensure that the page is bringing in the latest version of the JavaScript file.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
