New Version Validation Problems

    Hi,

    Since I updated to your latest Dynamic Forms version;

    Ver:4.10.0.5601 / 6.1.5

    I now have problems with the validation when using SQL validation. I have a field that is hidden until forced visible by question event, the field is not always required and so is normally non-visible on submit of the form. The field uses SQL validation and although its not visible the SQL validation is getting processed and so the submit is stopped.

    I Believe this issue occured in a previous version but was fixed, please can you advise why this bug is back and how we can fix it.

    Hi Adam - Yes... This should be fixed... So basically the SQL Validation is happening on a field that is not visible on the form? When you enable Debug Mode do you see that the form is not visible on the form but then also see that that the SQL validation is firing?

    I do remember at one point that this was fixed and we had it logged in our bug tracking system... So if you are able to replicate this easily on our test site at www.betasprings.com (sign in as host/dnnhost) on a test page we should be able to have one of our developers take care of it pretty quickly.

    I have been able to replicate the issue very simply on the site and when running the form in debug mode the SQL validation is seen to fire, although the validation field is hidden.

    Hi Admin - I went and read about this/reviewed your issue there. The only thing about this was that I checked Beta Springs and that site/portal seems to still be running a version of 3.4.x for some reason. So... I tried to upgrade it to 4.1 to compare/test but I am having problems because it was on a weird Beta. So... I will have to try and duplicate this locally etc...

    So... I will follow up next week on this once I verify it on the newer 4.1 release. If you want a quicker response on this I suggest you open a support ticket with these details and a link to this thread for us to follow up on at http://support.datasprings.com.

    Hi Adam - We have not had anyone else reporting this yet and I wasn't able to duplicate it on my local environment either. Can you tell me if you spit out debug info (or enable DEBUG MODE) what information it spits out? Also, if you open a support ticket at http://support.datasprings.com and provide us with host credentials to the website we should be able to help you out a lot faster.

    Sorry-- Wrong place to post. Did not realize this was Dynamic forms. I am having the issue in Dynamic Registration. ---Wondering if this bug is back? I have 4.10.70 and running into this problem where I have the field hidden and SQL Validation is showing. Thanks Chris
