Hi,I am trying to reference a field value from a given record for an action. I have a field called "Foreman" that starts with a foreman number and has additional numbers after that.

When a user clicks the action link I set up, I want all records that start with that foreman number to delete from my table that I create from Dynamic Forms as a form completion event that I am looking at on this instance of Dynamic Views. I can run this command from the SQL tab of the admin menu in DNN plugging in a static number rather than the foreman token, so I think it is a problem with the token. I tied the token format used in Dynamic Forms and the token format I see used in Dynamic Views.

I have users running a report to Excel for a particular foreman number via the build-in search feature and than attempting to delete all records starting with that foreman number.

DELETE FROM myTable WHERE FOREMAN LIKE '$(Foreman)%'

DELETE FROM myTable WHERE FOREMAN LIKE '[Foreman]%'

    Please advise...Thanks!

    Hello Matt,

In the Dynamic View Action section, the only token that's available is the $(PrimaryKey) token.

The PrimaryKey token goes back to the column that you have selected to be the Primary Key of the Dynamic View Data Source. Under Module Configuration, Generated Columns you'll find a combo box labeled Primary Key.

Please take a look at Page 25:

You can also look at this Blog post, it may assist with your understanding of the Action and $(PrimaryKey) token:

Let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
