    To reproduce the error:

    - Creatre a form with PostRegistration / Question events

    - Export the portal to a template

    - Create a new portal based on the template

you will see that all events have been lost - though the form is displayed

Update: Datasprings is aware of the error and are looking into it. There may be some sql scripts provided to users as a temp fix.

    Regards,

    Hi,

This is on the list for 2.4. This probably won't make it into any minor releases. When IPORTABLE was implemented this covers all questions and module settings but it doesn't actually cover the dynamic events. We have this on the enhancement list but and its currently being reviewed.

I came up with a solution which did not work with dynamic registration but does work with a couple other modules.

Let me explain the concept - Imagine one portal with an instance of the Dynamic Reg Module

Now imagine I have many portals on which I want to display this registration form...

Based on  the DNN 'portal template pdf' document - you can 'hard code' a module ID in a template - e.g. you have a template in which there is a dynamic reg form - you can set an xml node in that template to reference existing module 'x'

what this would give you (theoretically) is the ability to create a master registration form - and all portals based on the template above, could use that 1 instance of the registration form. I'm hoping you see the benefits of that think 1 instance shared by many portals - imagine you want to add a question to your registration form - and propagate that change to hundred of portals - hmm well now those hundreds of portals reference the one portal - hence one change is all you need

    So My question...

I tried to copy the record in tabmodules that referred to my dynamic for in a module - I basically did a insert into - select - with the tabID of the 'target page'

So this should result in the target page now displaying the module in both the original as well as target sites

But its not working - though if you try it say with the DNN links module - it will work

Are there any other things I need to do? It seems there may be some other dependencies?

    UPDATE :

    My last post  -

It appears my workaround is functional and it does add the ability to have a centrally managed form on multiple portals

Actually there is one caveat - after the insert - you have to add a dynamic reg module to the page with the tablID you just inserted - two modules will appear on the page - one being the original one referenced by the insert the other will be the one you just added

Strange - anyone know why this happens - something has to be registered in dnn or something?

When you insert to the tabmodules table in order to display a module on the desired page...

In order for the module to display on the new page you have to add any type of module to the page via the UI. Once you add the module you will se the reg for appear - so wierd
