    Hai,

I am new  to this DNN. I have a couple of questions and which needs to be clarified.

    1. How to use the multipage concept. I have created a form and on submitting i want to save the values and pass to another page which has the same look and feel but the fields are different how to do it?

    2. How to place the checkbox and a link together. Like there will be a checkbox and to accept the terms and condition and near by the checkbox there is a link to open the terms and condition. how to place the checkbox and the link together in a same line.

    3. How to place the required field symno "*" after the textbox or the dropdownlist. At present it displays the symbol in the extreme right i want to place it after the fields how to do it?

Can anyone answer these questions it would be helpful.

    Expecting the reply soon.

    Thanks

    Hi Sherlock,

    In answer to number 2:

    1. Go to the Question concerned
    2. Go to Question Look/Feel ->Field Width ->Make this 20
    3. Tick Hide Field Label
    4. Go to Advanced Field Options and enter 'Terms and Conditions' in the Example Text field (You should be able to enter in the normal href tags here)
    5. Update Field

    In answer to number 3:

I am not entirely sure hopefully someone else can help but you probably have to fiddle with server/client side validation and then alter the Data Springs CSS style sheet which is provided to you under Module Configuration.

Firebug the html to find the correct CSS ids of the offending error messages and then type these into this stylesheet with the appropriate css formatting.

This style sheet can either replace your normal one for this module or it can be used to add on css styles to the normal style sheet (for the latter, add your styles, update style sheet but then tick Standard DNN stylesheet again and save).

    Hope this helps,  Jessica

PS. page 26 of the Dynamic Forms User Guide may help you with Question 1.

    Hi,

Yes related to the multi page forms, you might check out this demonstration that covers collecting information on 'page 1' and then making use of it on 'page 2'. This is done passing short field name values via querystring and session  variables and then collecting these variables on page 2 as hidden field type variables.

Multi Page Forms w/ Dynamic Forms

You can also check out other demonstrations that cover validation and options for validation.

For both validation and displaying maybe the 'terms and conditions' as a link, you might consider making use of the 'Example Text'. This example text property for each field shows up directly to the right of the field and it also accepts HTML within it.
