Hi,
I am implementing a simple event registration form. Two people can be registered on one form. The form has two rows of fields: with the following fields on each row:
Name(text), Gender (list ), Age Group(list), and Amount(text)
short names for each row:
Name1, Gender1, AgeGroup1, Amount1
Name2, Gender2, AgeGroup2, Amount2
At the bottom of the Form, I have a Grand Total field, with a short name, GrandTotal.
Registration Fee (Amount1 and Amount2) depends on the age group. Age Group1 and AgeGroup2 are drop down lists with the following entries (both Option Text, and Option Value -SQL driven options from Host >> Lists)
For Adult, Registration Fee is $10.00
For Child, Registration Fee is $5.00
For Infant, Registration Fee is $0.00
When a user selects the Age Group from the drop down list, corresponding Fee is displayed in the "Amount" fields (Amount 1 and Amount 2)
I implemented this functionality by creating multiple Question Events [one for each option in the Age Group list].
Now this much is working... when the user selects Age Group, the corresponding amount is correctly being displayed in the Amount1 and Amount2 fields.
Here are my questions 
Q1: Every time the Age Group is changed, the Amount is updated after a delay (as the data is coming from the server). I want to implement a client side function so that the result should be shown instantly. How to do this please?
Q2: How to implement automatic calculation of Grand Total Amount?
Q3. The Registration fee is dependent on the Age Group. If I change the Option Values in the Age Group list to Registration Fees, then, I will not be able to keep the record of actual Age Group in the Form database... This means, I should be able to write a routine in Javascript that translates Age Group into Fee amount and use that for display and further calculations. How to do this please?
Any help is greatly appreciated...
