    Hi,

I have just updated to DF 3.0 and found an issue while trying to edit a completion event. Within 2.7.5 I can see the list of mail-tokens right of the edit. In DF 3.0 there seems to be a displaying problem. I tried it with different templates - the result is the same. I will add a screenshot, so you can see what I mean. The problem appears at the right - even the editor is cut off.

    Best and thanks

    Jörg

    HI, here's the problem:
    * Not all Rich Text Editors and DNN® versions support AJAX, therefore if you are using Rich Text Fields or having problems saving emails events or other properties with the Rich Text Editor, you can disable AJAX within module configuration under the Module Configuration, General Settings section.

You can also check out the forum on Dynamic Forms 3.0 Issues that Candace posted yesterday that details other minor bugs with the new release of Dynamic Forms 3.0. -- David

    Hi David,

yes and no. After I has disabled AJAX within Module Configuration I can save mail and PDF-events. But the editor is still cut off at the rigth. I fixed this via custom editor options (width) - now I can see all settings and elements.

One more thing: After exporting form results to excel I can not save/open the Excel-File. Trying to open ends in something like 'this page can not be loaded', saving results in 'this file does not exist'. Is there a special path for which I have to grand access?

    Thanks

    Jörg

HI, how are you exporting it? Are you going to "Advanced Features" / "View Form Results" and then choosing "Export all results to Excel"? It should save the .xls file with a 32bit GUID name in the generic path:

    c:\inetpub\wwwroot\DNN04.09.04\Portals\0\DynamicForms_Exports

Your path may be different from mine depending on your web hosting company / DNN install ,etc but it should be under "Portals\0\DynamicForms_Exports" or some other portal number. Can you traverse to this
directory using Admin / File Manager? -- David

    Hi David,

the folder 'DynamicForms_Exports' was not accessable via file manager, but it was there in the file system on the server. So I did a sync in file manager and now I can see the files generated. The user permissions are set properly. But there are two issues:

The link to PDF-files beginns with 'http://', within Intranet we are using 'https://'. Can I change this? The rest of the links is correct. When I change http to https I can open the PDF-File.

I export the form results via "Advanced Features" / "View Form Results" and then choosing "Export all results to Excel". When I choose 'open' I get the following error:

The last view words mean 'can not open this file'.
    Is this path correct?

HI Jorg, the URL you gave me above doesnt seem right. I don't see portals\0\dynamicforms_exports anywhere. Also, the file extension should have been a 32 GUID .xls file. Your's is a aspx file which can only be opened using a web browser. If you traverse to Admin / File Manager and to the DynamicForms_Exports directory, you said you saw the file there. You should be able to just click on the file and save to your local hard drive and open it with excel. Get back with me if this works for you. -- David

    Hi David,

yes works, I can open the xls-files manually. They are generated in the folder you told me. But most of the users don't have the right to open files this way. How can it come that the path I captured via screenshot is generated? Should I reinstall the module or is there an other trick?

    Best

    Jörg

Oh, the screenshot you generated is the URL of the tabid / moduleid etc. at the top of the browser window (the page where you click on "view form results"). No I don't believe you need to reinstall the module. -- David

OK, but how can I open or save an Excel-File? The only messeage I get is the one you can see above. The Intranet-User can not open files via file-manager.

Well, the "View Form Results" should only be available when the page is available for "Edit" mode and not "View" mode. Are you allowing your intranet-users to have "Edit" privilege to the page? If so, they
can edit any fields in the DF module as well as delete the entire module from the page. This is not safe practice. Intranet-users should only have "View" mode which means they cannot "View Form Results"
in the first place since the drop down feature won't be available. IN "View" mode, they can view the form and fill out the answers only. Isn't "View Form Results" available for admin / roles that have edit rights
    to the page? -- David

Yes, your right. But this issue takes effect, when I'm logged in as a host. I have all necessary rights to view and edit this page. Perhaps it is the same effect as it happens with PDF-Files. When I add the token PDF:Link to an email, the link which is shown begins with 'http://', our Intranet runs under 'https://'. The rest of the link is fine, just the 's' is missing.

How can I change the 'http://' to 'https://'?
    Maybe, I can open/save Excel-Exports then?

    Best

Hi. Yes, I believe this can happen with IE and SSL sites and we are reviewing it. I don't believe you would have this same issue in FireFox but please give it a try in FireFox. I think its an issue with IE and exporting to Excel on sites that use SSL.
