Incorrect value in Email Tokens

    Hi,

    I just found a strange problem.

    I have 6 comboboxes on my form each populated with the same List (defined in Host >> Lists) of 133 items. Each item's Text is about 70 characters long, with a value of 2 digit number (price).

    Based on the calculations involved several of these options (entries) have the same price though the description (Text part of it) is different.

    When a user selects an option, say, 52nd entry, it correctly displays the Text  and its value (the value is displayed next to it  in another Text field)

    When the Form is submitted, in the email that is ent to the user, the selected option is shown is DIFFERENT from the one selected by the user. In this particular case, the price happens to be the same for both these options.

    When I tested randomly, most of the time, the options are displayed properly in the email message (that truly correspond to the ones entered on the Form); but this particular one is consistently showing a DIFFERENT one than the one selected on the Form.

    Any suggestions on how to diagnose this type of issue?

    Quick Question: Suppose if I start the Diagnostic Mode, will that affect any users who may be accessing and filling the form?

    I just enabled the Debug feature for a minute and tested.

    Even in the Debug mode, it behaves the same way (incorrect way).

    That is, in a list 133 items, I selected 53rd in one field and 43rd in another field (the source is idential SQL statement)

    I am displaying the TEXT of these selections (not the value); they are supposed to be different. But they are showing the same.

    Where I selected the 43rd option, it is showing correctly.
    But in place of 53rd option, on the next field, it is also showing the 43rd Option.

    In this particular case the "values" of both these options happen to be the same; and that value is reflected properly.

    Any insight is greatly appreciated...

    Strange, can you go to HOST / SQL an execute the SQL statement there to see what you get? -- David

    I just ran this SQL statement and got the correct (expected) results, and this is also shown in the combobox on the form

    select Text as QuestionOption, Value as QuestionOptionValue from Lists where ListName= 'NCR09_Reg_Options' ORDER BY Text ASC


    Are there any known issues when there are too many lists on the form; too many items in each list? too many characters in each entry?

    This error must be occurring between these two events:
    1. The moment I select the option (it is correctly being displayed on the form)

    2. the moment the module is making the "Text" of this selected Option into the corresponding variable (like $(option_text))

    How are you capturing the the "Text" part of the option selected? Could there be some issue with that when the list is long?

    Also, when I click on the "Edit Record Link" (one of the standard Tokens available for Email event) in the email message, the form is displayed correctly except for this combobox. THis means, this error is occurring by the time you are storing the form data into database.

    The problem with this problem is it is not happening with any other field on the form. It is also not specific to a particulr combobox; it is specific to a particular 'selection' in the list (which is the same source for all other similar comboboxes)

    Is there any way we can trace the data movement after the SUBMIT button is clicked?
