When I try to save the data in my Data Grid I keep getting an error about the PageRequestManagerParseError.
If I turn off AJAX support the error goes away, but then the form does not keep its formatting.
I used the demo on the Dynamics Forms site for the Data Grid and everything workes as expected. How can I fix this error?
Thanks,
Kevin

HI, can you explain more about what you mean when you say the form does not keep the format? Are you saying the datagrid rows/columns are skewed? Can you provide a screenshot or a more detailed description? -- David |

Hi David. The sections of the form are mis-aligned. I do not see how to attach a file here.
Also, do you have any information on how to fix the origional error message?

Can you export your XML file to www.betasprings.com (username: host, password: dnnhost) and tell us the URL / TABID and I can take a look at the mis-alignement. As for fixing the original error, nope. Chad may have insight into this. -- David |

Can you tell me how to export the module to the beta site? I can see how to export the module to a folder on my server, but I can't see how to get it to your server. |

Once you have it on your server, go to Admin / File Manager and traverse to the directory where the XML filename is located at. Just click on it and it will save to your local hard drive to whereever is specfified in your browser for download of files. Then log into betasprings and go to Admin / File Manager and upload the file somewhere. Then create a page, load the DF module and choose "Import Content" and tell us what the URL / TABID of your page is at. -- David |

I don't see the XML files in the File Manager. I have created a user account on my test server. Please go to:
http://www.runtimebudgets.com/Home/...aGrid.aspx
You will see the DataGrid. Add some data and click the Submit button to see the formatting.

Hi, I fixed the alignment on your form. What happens is that on some of your fields, you have a column span of 3 and also display on same row as previous questions. I made it all have a column span of 1 and not to display on same row as previous question to make the form look cleaner. You can check out this tutorial on layout design here at: http://www.datasprings.com/Products...fault.aspx -- David |

Hi David, the form looks much better now, but when I click the save icon on the Grid, and the form refreshes, it is still not formatted properly. If you click save on the Grid you will see that the top and the bottom sections of the form are not lined up. |

Hi Kevin, can you use the "Contact Us" on the left, shoot me an email referencing this forum with a screenshot of how your datagrid layout looks in IE 8 since it looks alright to me. -- David |

Hi david,
I do not see an option to attach a file in the Contact Us section, so I uploaded a file named DGFormatting.gif to the files section of your beta site. |

HI Kevin, I looked at DGFormatting.gif but are you sure because the image doesn't show me any datagrid at all, just the DF control panel. -- David |

Hi David,
Sorry about that. I just took a screenshot of the top of the form, and the DataGrid was too far down to see. I moved the DataGrid up to the top. I uploaded a new image named DGFormatting2.gif. |

HI, I've just looked at the DGFormatting2.gif, are you referring to the Vacation datagrid or the New Field datagrid at the bottom? Because when I enter a data/location into the "Vacation" datagrid and click on the save icon, it added the entry just fine. -- David |

Hi, I am talking about the DataGrid at the top. Yes, the data saves as expected, but when you save the data and the form refreshes the form is not formatted properly as shown in DGFormatting 1 and 2. You will see that the sections of the form at the top are mis-aligned and the entire page moves to the far left of the browser. That is the problem, not the saving of the data.
I believe that this is happening because I had to turn off AJax for the form to stop the error that I reported at the top of this thread. |

Hi, can you try doing this logged in as a regular user and not HOST and see? I've logged in and I don't see the misalignment at all. -- David |

Also, can you try a different browser like Firefox or Google Chrome and see if shows the same way? -- david |

Hi, I tried this as a regular user and the problem is still there. I also tried it with FireFox and Opera and the formatting problem did n ot happen, so it seems to be IE specific. |
