Perhaps we're trying to do something too complicated... but, based on my understanding this should be possible.

We'd like a user to be able to submit a form multiple times

    for instance:

Form:  Submit your pets information ->  Save this form -> Continue or Add another pet.

Then later, be able to view & edit their previous entries if necessary.

Is this going to be possible?  Looking at how to present a page where they can view their previous entries and edit them if necessary.

We had hoped to be able to use the Data Grid feature to do this, but Dynamic Forms module seems to store the data grid info in a strange manner that we haven't been able to get in to SQL to use on the backend, so we're ruling that out.

We found a way to do this, using the demonstration that uses the DNN Reports Module... It isn't the best solution though. The links to the SQL Bind require (as far as we can tell) a query string to trigger the SQL bind, we're trying to figure out if we can use any other tokens in the SQL Bind other than the value in the Querystring now.

Would sure be nice if a connection string could be given to the Dynamic Forms SQL Bind or other fields similar to how the DNN Reports Module allows... in fact, would be nice if the DNN Reports Module stuff was integated in to the Dynamic Forms module

HI, for SQL binding to work, you need to specify and pass along a querystring variable so there isn't a way to force binding using a value NOT from the querystring. -- David

Is it possible to trigger the SQL Binding via the querystring, but use a session variable or hidden field in the binding?

Yes, SQL binding should work with a hidden field or session variable. But for a hidden field, you still have to set it to retrieve from querystring variable. For session variable, retrieve value from session variable. However, I have never tried it with a session variable before. -- David
