    I just purchased Dynamic Forms and I've been having a very strange problem.  Firstly I have a small form with about five questions that require input from the user (some just pull information from DNNs records).  The two main questions are just multiline textboxes with a 400 character limit and both are required and both will kick the user back if they aren't filled out. 

    Well, for some reason, one of these textboxes labeled "3.0 Description and application" and for some reason the text the user fills in never shows up in either the "View Form Results" page or in the email that's sent out even though the variable is included. 

    What's strange is that in the email, the field for the user input is blank, you don't see the variable, which, in this case is $(3.0), the field just isn't there.

    Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?  It's very strange, I've tried duplicating the question with the same results, I've tried recreating the question from scratch and as soon as I get to calling it "3.0 Description and application" I get these same problems.  Any ideas?

    So the problems go away when you don't name it "3.0 Description and application"?

    I have tried duplicating this here (you can login as host/dnnhost).

    Basically I wasn't able to duplicate it in the 'Display After Message' and I am still testing the email. I tried to use the same label (which really shouldn't matter at all). Also, does it make a difference if you use the Wizard to create the summary field VS creating it yourself under Manage Questions / Settings as new?

    Also, although it shouldn't matter you might try leaving the label as you have it but changing the short field name to not be 3.0, maybe something like summary_30 or something. Again, ill check because it shouldn't make a difference though. Just some debugging ideas.

    Also, I just tested this as well with the email event and it appeared it work as well. Maybe check your setup and see if youi can duplicate it again on the betasprings.com site.

    I appear to be able to recreate the error, and please give it a try with your own email address.  It seems that some fields don't get emailed for some reason.  Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    I receive your email error to and anytime you get the error 'String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated.' this typically means that you are attempting to store more information than the database allows. In your case this probably means that your response table is set to 300 characters. The post above shows you some SQL you can execute to change the response table and stored procedures to be larger than 300 characters.

    Hi Chad,

    I ran the SQL that you suggested and it helps with fields that return, however, I still have the same problem in that the same fields that did not report their values before still don't report them now.

    Hi. I researched this more along with the text form you setup on Betasprings. I have narrowed the problem down to an issue with using the Question Wizard with the Multi Line Textbox field type. The issue seems to go away if you click edit on the Multi Line Textbox and re-save. We are researching this but for now that work around should do the trick. If this is the case we will have this fixed in the next minor or major release.

    I'm having the same problem. Been troubleshooting it now for 2 days. I have a telephone number field which refuses to display on the confirmation page or dynamic email. I did not use the Question Wizard to build this form.

    At this point I believe the problem is somehow linked to sort order. I changed the sort order of the field to a higher value and then it displays. Except another field then does not display in the confirmation & email (in my case it is the name field).

    Tomorrow I am going to attempt to pad the form with a hidden field as a work around.
