     Hi

I am trying to use an image field on my form.

If I upload an image and click preview then click upload a new file, I always get the message, "The file you uploaded is not allowed! Please check the file type and confirm that the file is an image. " before I have even attempted to upload a form.

Worse still, if I have auto preview switched on and upload an image then click upload new image, I get the same message but can no longer upload any images, I just consistently get this message.

I assume this is a bug or is there a way to solve this problem (without doing anything silly like switching off validation)?

    Thanks,

    Stuart

HI, when you see that message, you can simply click on the "Choose File" button and pick a file to upload. The preview is just for showing so when you click on "Upload a New File", and you get that message, simply click "Choose File" and pick another file to upload. -- David

     H David

    Ok, two things.

    1) I choose a file, the hit preview. I then choose to upload another file so hit the "Upload new file" button. At this point the error message displays which is very confusing to the user - it should not be displayed as they have not uploaded a file that is not allowed!

    2) If you have auto-preview on, you then cannot upload another file at all, the error is just repeatedly displayed.

I assume these are both bugs and there are no work arounds then?

    Thanks,

    Stuart

    Stuart,

Can you possibly setup a quick example of this on www.betasprings.com? Also, what specific version of Dynamic Forms are you using and what specific version of DotNetNuke?

    Hi Chad

Thanks for the response. We are using version 3.1. When I get a moment I will put a demo on betasprings but it just seems to be a case of simply adding an image control to a form to recreate the problem.

BTW, I have also discovered what I think is another issue - if you have the Ajax modal popup turned on, you get an exception when trying to preview images.
