After upgrading our module to the current version and trying to activate Advanced Captcha, I receive the following error after modifying the web.config file as instructed:

"500 - Internal Server Error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed."

With this web.config modification the website will not load, instead giving the above error. The only modification to the web.config file as instructed was to add:

add verb="*" path=LanapCaptcha.aspx" type="Lanap.BotDetect.CaptchaHandler, Lanap.BotDetect"/

This line was added to the httpHandlers section of web.config above the line:

!--This is for CAPTCHA support--

<!--This is for CAPTCHA support-->

There are less than and greater than brackets around the last two lines but if I enter them in this message, the text will not display, even using blockquote.

Can anyone help with where the problem lies?

HI, did you upgrade your DNN website version as well or just dynamic forms version? Also, with the old dynamic forms version, were you using the Advance Captcha? By the way, what is your current DNN and Dynamic Forms version you have right now? -- David

I had not been using Advanced Captcha since we upgraded from an early version of Dynamic Forms which did not support that feature. Currently our DNN version is 5.02.01 and is hosted by PowerDNN. Our current Dynamic Forms version is 3.30.50. Could this possibly be an issue where the PowerDNN ASP.NET server does not have the BotDetect Captcha software support or is this integrated within the Dynamic Forms module? Upon further testing our old forms, they have all stopped working since any data input in the Captcha field returns an error stating the field is required. Several other fields on the form are also required. if I turn off required fields, the Standard Captcha will accept the entry and the form will process properly. Thank you, Gary
