Completion events not firing after PayPal

    FYI.. IPN status is working fine (the 1st of the 3 events fire).. all are using the same "Completed (standard)" for the Paypal Payment status. The error mentioned above is showing on the page that i originate from before being redirected to Paypal.. all it's showing is a Save link and the Continue button.. nothing else (besides the error).

    Hi Tony,

    This Save Link and Continue button is actually part of Dynamic Forms and it sounds like you are redirecting back to it after PayPal.  Do you have a redirection event?  I would suggest your set one up and tie this event to 'Redirect Successfully' in your PayPal Gateway.

    Can you please tell me what those 3 events are?  Of those 3, what events are NOT firing?  Here's a blog on Completion Events and PayPal.  Most of the time, issues with completion events are cleared by following the tips here.

    I don't believe the error message is related but let's see first if we can get your events to fire then we'll look at that separately.  Thanks!

    1st completion event: confirmation email (works)
    2nd completion event: internal staff email (doesn't work)
    3rd completion event: redirection to a "thank-you" page (doesn't work)

    To my knowledge, i'm not redirecting to it after paypal.

    I'll browse through the blog for any info.. it's just strange that one of the works.. yet they all depend on the same paypal status.

    Read through the blog, but I doesn't appear to be helpful for what i need.. because, I do get 1 of the emails.. the 2nd email doesn't go.. and the redirection doesn't work.

    Yes, that is strange.  What DNN version are you using?

    Can you confirm that your redirection event is tied to Redirect Successfully (not Completed)

    Can you post a screenshot of your email event to your admin?  Also a screenshot of your PayPal Gateway?  If you're not comfortable posting it in the public forums, please send me the screen shots at dnnsupport@datasprings.com.  Please include the URL to this thread for reference, your exact DF module version, & your DNN version..  Thanks!

    Candace found 2 things that were wrong.. 1st the redirect NEEDS to be set for Redirect Successful (not Complete{Standard}).. 2nd, the 2nd email had a type-o in the FROM email.. i was using the shortfield name that i create $(txtemail).. but my "e" was supposed to be upper.. (case sensitivity was preventing it from resolving to anything)..
