How do you apply the license for Dynamic Forms 4.0? I don't see the licensing option in the advanced menu. A screenshot is attached.
Thanks! |

Hi Saramar10, Sorry, I don't see the screenshot. Were you on the trial version first? YOu will need to install the software from the purchase and then you will see license registration from the module menu (in the same area where you find settings). Thanks! Candace

It is saying "FailureA newer version of this package is already installed - 4.0.10". Can I uninstall the trial version without losing the contents of the form I've set up?
Thanks! |

No, if you uninstall the trial version, you will lose any existing forms you already worked on. Can you please give me the file name you are trying to install from the purchase? Thanks!

Hmmm...it should give you the option to repair the current installation with the new file. Do you see that?

Any ideas on what I should do? I've also tried exporting my form, but when I tested importing it I got an error that the file isn't valid XML. |

Hi Saramar, What DNN version are you on? If you're on one of the later versions, can you please try installing the module from Host > Extensions (instead of module definitions)? Thanks! Candace

We're on DNN 5.6.3. I just tried installing from Extensions and got the same error and no option to repair. |

Hi, Since nobody else is reporting this yet but initial guess is that there are some file permission issues not setup properly on the server. Can you tell me a little bit about where you are hosting this DotNetNuke Portal? Also was this a fresh installation of DotNetNuke or an upgrade of DotNetNuke to the 5.6.3 environment? We are also posting a patch that represents 04.00.12 that should be available by EOD tomorrow, so you might also try this as you should not need to utilize the "Repair" option. One thing could that could happen with permissions is that maybe it can write files but cannot over write files and that is what it is attempting to do not maybe? Just a thought. Thanks, Chad

Chad - we have installed many other modules as part of this website project and have not ran into any permission issues up to now. This was a fresh installation of DNN5.6.3 I also conducted an export of the form we are using and the export seemed to work. Is there anyway Dynamic Forms can look at this export file and determine if it is a valid file. I am thinking that if it is a valid file, then we can delete and reinstall the module and then import the form back in. Mike Johnson |

Ok, I have made a successful export file, uninstalled and reinstalled Dynamic Forms, and now it is not taking my invoice number. The contact name on this purchase is Tom Elliott. Can you help me? |
