I am using Dynamic Forms 4.1.
I have a contact form and I use an Form Completion event of type Dynamic Email, to send me an email when the form is submitted.
I want to display a message to the user after they successfully submit the form.
I followed the instructions included in the following post on this site:
http://www.datasprings.com/dnn-modu...ion/#22021to try and display a message to the user after submission (note that I want a message on the page, not a javascript pop-up).
Under Module Config, Header/footer/system messages, I created a 'Display After Submit Message' message and clicked Update Message.
Under Module Config, General Settings, Redirect Page After Submit, there is a URL option and a Page option.
When I select the Page option, the dropdown box has the current page named greyed out, so I cannot select the page the form is on, even though that's what I want to happen.
So I select URL and just paste in the full link to the page on my site containing my form.
The problem is that I never see the 'Display After Submit Message'
The form is working correctly and prevents submission until all required fields have been entered and the captcha has been correctly entered.
When you click Submit, the form submits and sends me an email, just like I want it to.
It also redirects back to the same page (although the form does this anyway, if the Redirect Page After Submit option is left empty).
But I never see the message displayed.
What am I doing wrong?
Do I have to also explicitly create a Form Completion event of type URL/Page Redirection?
It seems counter-intuitive to have to do this if you have set the Redirect option under General Settings as I described above.
Thank You for your help.
