    Hi

with Chad support I've now a SQL driven combo box that contains all the Countries my users can select.

Now I've been asked to populate another field via SQL that contains the international phone prefix for that country.

The first combo box is related to Field name "Country" and is selected with this SQL
Select '< Select Country >' as QuestionOption, '0' as QuestionOptionValue
    Union All
select Country_name as QuestionOption, Country_name as QuestionOptionValue from OD_countries

The second combo box needs (named phone prefix) to be populated based on the result of the field "Country", so I've specified the following SQL statement
    select Phone_prefix as QuestionOption, Phone_prefix as QuestionOptionValue from OD_countries where Country_name = '$(Country)'

Well, I'm not able to have the Phone prefix populated correctly at all, it's blank and remains blank any country I choose.

I've used for the prefix a combo box because, as I see it's the only vay I can use SQL

I'm running version 2.3.5, Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance and best regards

    Daniele

Hi. Well this feature should exist in 2.3 however version 2.5 was recently released so that is what we are testing against on Beta Springs... If you purchase within the last 30 days you might look for version 2.5 under patches and hot fixes.

Also, I am assuming the 'Country' is the short field name? Also, Country_Name is pulling in probably the full country name and maybe not an abbreviation. If you change this query out to actually use the actual country name does the 2nd query/combo box start to work?

Either way you should be able to offer this type of functionality.
