    Hello,

as you can see at the bottom of this page: http://www.passaparola.info/Piccoli...x the radio buttons are aligned as if they were located on a new column of their own, instead on going under the previous field. I tried all sorts of combinations and settings, including creating completely new forms, without succeeding. Is there a possibility to fix that, by any chance? I can go in the code and fix it, if I was given the right instructions.
Unfortunately I am running an old version of Dynamic Forms (2.10.00) and the DNN version is 4.0.2. I cannot upgrade DNN yet, but shall I upgrade the DF module? To which version?

    Thank you,

    Franco

Hi. Yes I believe this was a bug we found in the past (and was fixed somewhere between 2.3 and 2.5 I believe). Its going to be difficult to find the right version for 4.0.2 of DotNetNuke though, probably 2.1 or 2.2 at the latest. You might also try the option to put the field labels and columns in the same tablecell and see if this fixes the issue as a work around until you can upgrade.

    Hi,

if you refer to the setting:

"Display label and field in same column (Overide general setting)",

I have not found it on the version I have, unless I missed it.

    Hi,
I tried fixing it with firebug and it fact it is a very simple thing to do, it is just a matter of removing "

" before the table listing the options (see snapshot below)
I can access the server files via FTP to apply the change, but can you tell me which file to look for? Or is it a dll that you have to generate?

If it is not possible to fix the application I would happy to fix just this particular instance, whatever is easier for you.

    Thanks,
    Franco

Hi. Well once a form is 'generated' on the page there is no way to change the HTML or anything to actually change the look of the form. The biggest problem is that the feature I was mentioning above was added in a later release. From this screenshot though it appears that it looks correct? Am I missing something? Other work arounds would be to maybe use a field type such as combo box/dropdownlist instead of radio button?

    Hi Chad,
let me explain again: with firebug (a Firefox plugin) you can actually modify the html code served by the server and simulate a new code from the server to be processed by the browser, and all that on the fly. And that is what I did: with firebug I located the piece of html served and removed a column in the table dealing with the radio options and the browser happily shows the correction, which I captured in the snapshot. Just compare it with the real webpage and you will see the difference. The snapshot also shows you the firebug pane, by the way.

The problem is that I don't know where to apply that simple fix on the module code, on the server. Is there an ascx file dealing with that and where is it?
If you can give me some indications I may be able to fix it myself.

    Thanks,
    Franco

Hi. I see and understand now. Unfortunatly this is not an easy change to an ascx file as each field is coded and generated directly within the code. You would need to upgrade to at least 2.2 probably. You might go ahead and open a support case and give us temporary edit rights so that we can review it to see if there is some other type of work around you can do.

    Hi Chad,

I got a workaround from some DNN expert who told me to uncheck the "required field" setting for the radio button. In that case the alignment is correct.
If possible, I'd still like to receive the fixed dll, but for the moment I have an improvement.
    Thanks,
    Franco

I see.... Thanks for the follow up... Yes, once you have upgraded your DNN installation the versions after the 2.2 release fix this issue.

    Thanks,
