We are facing a serious problem in related to permission in moss site. The application ends with Access denied page. we have added the NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users to the home page with read permission, so that all the users can at least visit the home page and do some operations which are related to database. I have logged in to the system as “test user". Sometimes it is allowing me to log in and let me to do the transactions and some time it is giving me the access denied page. Error: Access Denied Current User You are currently signed in as: test user Some times when I am there successfully logged in on the home page and I am navigating to some pages say: “Qwiki” After if I change the url and try to open the home page by manually entering the address say http://testserver:12311/ then also the error persists. Sometimes if I click on “Go Back to site” on the access denied page it will again open the home page with the same account. And some time it won’t open the home page after clicking on “Go Back to site”. At this point if I select some other user’s account, it won’t allow that user even. Note: If you are the user with full control then it won’t give you any error. Problem with Readers and Contributors only.
In addition we have used custom master page and we are using AjaxControlToolkit Version=1.0.20229.20821. Thanks in advance for any help from anyone. Any inputs will be appreciated. Regards, Gnyanendra Prasad Ray
Hi,
I have facing the same problem with users accessing from an external branch. The connections, DNS, etc is working fine, but sometimes they get "Access denied" error. and I don't know how to fix it. Did someone find out a solution?
Thanks.
Best Regards,
Hi
what authentication are you using? Kerberos or NTLM and do you have a standalone or farm installation?
